Retreat Dates: November 26 to December 2, 2025
Thank you for joining our women’s retreat at Villa Amia. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment. At the same time, it is important that every participant understands and accepts responsibility for their own wellbeing throughout the retreat.
Please read the following carefully.
1. Voluntary Participation
I understand that my participation in all retreat activities is completely voluntary. I choose to attend and take part in classes, workshops, excursions, transportation, and any onsite or offsite activities at my own risk.
2. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that activities offered during the retreat may include physical movement, outdoor excursions, pool use, beach visits, transportation in Costa Rica, and exposure to natural elements. I understand that these activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to slips, falls, insect bites, wildlife encounters, dehydration, sun exposure, or other unforeseen circumstances. I freely accept all such risks.
3. Health and Fitness Responsibility
I confirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in retreat activities. I agree to listen to my body and stop or modify any activity that feels unsafe for me. I am responsible for consulting a medical professional before the retreat if needed.
4. Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless the retreat organizers, facilitators, instructors, staff, volunteers, and the owners of Villa Amia from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from injury, illness, accident, property loss, or other damages during or after the retreat. This includes any claims resulting from negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Personal Belongings
I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings and valuables. The organizers and property owners cannot be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage.
6. Travel and Transportation
I understand that travel to and within Costa Rica involves risks that are outside the control of the organizers or property owners. I am responsible for my own travel arrangements, insurance, and safety during transportation.
7. Medical Treatment
If medical assistance is required, I authorize the organizers or staff to seek emergency medical care on my behalf. I understand that I am fully responsible for any medical expenses that result.
8. Photo and Media Permission
I understand that photos or videos may be taken during the retreat. I grant permission for the organizers to use non identifying images for promotional purposes. If I choose not to be photographed, I agree to notify the organizers in writing before the retreat begins.
9. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes will be handled within Costa Rican jurisdiction.
